Lone Tree Rising

from $100.00

One night as I awaited my order for fish tacos at one of our favorite local taquerias, I decided to take a quick drive up Aborn Road in East San Jose to see if I could make it in time to catch the moon rising. As I walked around on some local trails, I spotted the top of the full moon creeping from behind the foothills. I lined up my shot and composed the entire rise. In this photo, the moon is almost full up, but framed nicely in the branches, just below the bird of prey taking in a slightly closer view from the top. It’s one of my favorite sets of photos I’ve ever made and this black and white edition makes it even more special to my as an artist who’s true love of photography is in monochrome.
